Vogesite - Patterning can be unpredictable. Good translucency. Stunning oranges and other autumn colors. It polishes to a high shine. Some pieces have pyrolusite trees in them. The stone was named after Mr. Voges whose farm it was discovered on in Africa. Vogesite is a jasper/chalcedony from South Africa with patterns and swirls of reds, yellows, browns, ivories, and olives.
