This piece of African Mugglestone has bands of hematite and yellow jasper.  Sometimes there are bands of red jasper and ironstone but I don't see any in this rock.  It weighs 13 lbs and measures approximately 8-1/2"x5-1/2"x6-1/4".  It was photgraphed wet in natural sunlight.

It is good lapidary material, even if a bit messy due to the hematite. You will get good results whether slabbing, cabbing or tumbling this material. I am presently working on some bookends or display pieces of the mugglestone that will be stunning when I get them to completion. It would also make fantastic spheremaking material.
